![]() ![]() Ahead of Remembrance Day, I thought I would highlight songs from both wars. ![]() The music spanned a variety of genres, some over 100 years old, ranging from ragtime and stride piano from the 1910s and 1920s, to popular jazzy songs from the 1930s and 1940s, along with light classical music. Last week I donated to the University of Toronto music archives over 500 pieces of sheet music I inherited from my grandparents, a two-piano, four-hands team who performed on radio and onstage from the 1930s to 1950s.
